photo diary: good food + weather.
Been a busy bee. Handling too much super serious life business, eating good food, not getting proper manicures (yuck!), celebrating love and living in sandals. Life could be a lot worse.

if you and i have ever spoken about shoes, we’ve spoken about nicholas kirkwood. my obsession knows no bounds. this pair in particular, i’ve lusted over for longer than i care to admit. so when i found them, on sale, i had to snatch them up. i did my research on size and fit and placed my order. i waited for the UPS man with bated breath. when they finally arrived i opened the box very carefully. paying attention to every detail, then finally grasping these lovelies. i have to admit, i saw them and instantly thought… “no way these will ever fit.”
so i waited, hoping the dissapointment that was around the corner would get tired of waiting and leave. then, when nobody was around… i put one shoe on and to my surprise my foot glided in without any effort. however, as i glanced at the full-sized mirror across from me i noticed something.
okay, so not even close to being that bad. in fact, they weren’t over the edge. but they were close enough to the edge to bug the hell outta me. the boy was all for keeping them, but i just couldn’t do it. i know that every time i’d reach over to put them on i’d think about the cliffhanging and opt out. and who wants pretty (&pricey) shoes they can’t/won’t wear? not i. so back they went the very next day.
and the hunt for a brightly colored spring heel continues.
